La Push

13 miles away from Forks in the West, you will find the Indian Reserve of La Push. Like Forks, La Push became also famous recently because of the series Twilight, and it is known as the home town of the "werewolf" Jacob.

La Push presents a breathtaking landscape of three beaches, called respectively First Beach, Second Beach and Third Beach. First Beach is the main beach of the reserve, just at the edge of the "city". The Ocean Pacific view is terrific, and it is worth a day (at least an afternoon) to walk on the different beaches to breath the freedom that this place offers.

To get to the 2nd and 3rd beach, you will have to walk off the city by the only road that comes to La Push. You will find an exotic Trail Road in the wild forest that surround La Push and actually everything within 12 miles. The Trail is around 1 mile long, not really difficult to walk on. The forest is beautiful, and I can guarantee you that you will never forget your arriving at Second Beach, in the middle of no-where.

There are only 3 buses that go to La Push from Forks, but the last one is just designed to bring you at La Push for the night, because it leaves directly after it drops you there. The hours are approximately:
- Forks to La Push: 7:25AM, 11:05AM and 3:15PM
- La Push to Forks: 7:55AM, 11:35AM and 3:45PM
The hours are not exact so you should check the company website. The company is Clallam Transit, and the bus and is the #15 La Push.

I decided to go to La Push at 7:00AM in the morning, to come back in Forks at 12:00PM and leave for Olympia in the afternoon, so I wouldn't have to do anymore camping in this rainy and cold, but really beautiful area.
